Overlap performance in Chinatown NYC
Ling-Wen Tsai and I performed a new work in NYC in May (2009). overlap is a work developed in response to an abandoned office space in Chinatown (photo below). Artist Margaret Lee curated "The Month of May", a series of exhibition/performance weekends at 179 Canal Street. The series included exhibitions of painting, sculpture, installation as well as performances and live music, each weekend coordinated by a different artist. Liam Everett curated a weekend of performances (5/15-5/17) which included overlap (Friday) peepers palace, a performance by Dani Leventhal (Saturday); and on the wall (the leaking), a performance in two acts by Liam Everett on Sunday.
